Introduction

Jumbo bags (also known as big bags, bulk bags, FIBC) are large-sized packaging made from woven PP (polypropylene) with high tensile strength, designed for containing, storing, and transporting goods at loads ranging from 500kg to 2500kg.

The hooded jumbo bag is a type of jumbo bag designed with an expanded bag mouth to facilitate manual or automatic loading.

Structure

A hooded jumbo bag is composed of 4 components: the body of the bag, the hood, the bag bottom, and the straps.

• Body of the bag: The hooded jumbo bag has a round or square body made of woven PP fabric. Depending on the nature of the product and the load, the fabric size varies, with or without coating, ranging from 140gr/m2 to 220gr/m2.
• Hood: The bag mouth has a circular sleeve with a diameter equal to the width of the bag, with a height of 70cm - 80cm. The hood is made of woven PP fabric with a coating, ranging from 80-120gr/m2, and is equipped with a drawstring to tighten after loading.
• Bag bottom: If there is no need to discharge the goods from the bottom of the bag, the hooded jumbo bag will have a closed bottom (flat fabric bottom), which is commonly used for jumbo bags containing block-shaped products. Conversely, the bag bottom will be designed with a discharge sleeve to facilitate quick discharge of goods from the bag. According to the standards of the jumbo bag manufacturer Louispack, the discharge bottom will be reinforced with flaps to ensure the safest and most convenient use.
• Straps: Hooded jumbo bags are usually sewn with 4 lifting straps, with a strap width ranging from 4cm to 10cm and a breaking force ranging from 750kg to 2500kg, depending on the bag load. For customers who need to use a crane to move the bags, the jumbo bag manufacturer will add 2 additional crane straps to connect the 4 lifting straps.

Color, Printing

• Hooded jumbo bags can be produced in various colors. However, common colors include white, beige, and black.
• Printing on jumbo bags is done using flexo printing technology, with 1-4 colors on 1-2 sides of the bag.

Applications

• Hooded jumbo bags are specialized for businesses engaged in manual or automatic bagging. The hood can be expanded to facilitate the loading/dumping of products. The hood can also be connected to the discharge funnel/pipe of the equipment, creating a closed bagging process.
• Hooded jumbo bags are suitable for block-shaped products, heterogeneous products without self-flowing properties, and low-dust powders such as fermented corn, compressed sawdust, aluminum scrap, and animal feed.
• Common applications of hooded jumbo bags include bags for fermented corn, 1-ton bags of rice, bags for compressed sawdust, bags for aluminum scrap, and bags for animal feed.
