Opening of International Exhibition on Food and Beverage Industry

With a total exhibition area of 5,000m2, the exhibition attracted 250 domestic and international businesses, providing opportunities to access potential partners and initiate significant business deals. This marks a significant step in boosting Vietnam's exports of food and beverage products to the global market and also presents a great opportunity to import new products and technologies, thereby promoting diversification and enhancing the quality of the food and beverage supply chain in Vietnam.

In his opening speech at the exhibition, Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), emphasized that Vietnam's food and beverage market has experienced strong growth in recent years, particularly a positive recovery after the challenging period of COVID-19. This is one of the sectors that domestic and international businesses view optimistically for its prospects in terms of market scale and growth rate in the coming years.

According to Statista's forecast, Vietnam's food market is expected to reach $96.47 billion in 2023, a 9% increase compared to 2022, with an average annual growth rate in the period from 2023 to 2027 reaching about 8.22%.

Following the success of previous exhibitions, Vietfood & Beverage - Propack 2023 in Hanoi, with over 300 booths from 250 participating companies representing 10 countries and territories, is expected to continue providing opportunities for businesses at home and abroad to understand the market, enhance cooperation, promote trade, and investment to meet market development trends.

According to Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, Vietfood & Beverage - Propack this time helps businesses and visitors grasp trends in new products and technologies in the food and beverage industry and new approaches to production, processing, packaging, and consumption of food and beverages in the near future.

The exhibition is expected to welcome more than 8,000 trade visitors and the general public and will run until November 11th.
